I had a sweet and spooky halloween, surrounded by princesses, cute faces, spookey spiders and my oldest friends.
I miss the departed ones and cherish the memories we shared, but I am grateful for the living and for the memories we are yet to create.

Have a Happy Halloween you all. Cheers!

what's hot what's not?

It is that time of the year again!! when what's not "HOT" or classic has to go.
Fashion week is here guys, new trends, textures and colours, cuts... and I am very excited , I am crazy about trends, and very eager to see the new collections unveilled. I wouldn't call myself a fashion slave, but I definately appreciate the art and heart of it all.
I enjoy a good shopping spree, by that i mean indulging and testing the haute couture, love love love classics, good tailored pants, very hot gowns and bags oh...bags, shoes... I can't help it, I may be a fashion slave.

a moment of bliss

Back To School

My kids are back to school and I am enjoying every bit of it, yes sirrr... Sounds selfish but atleast its the truth.

Summer Holidays are great, and we got to do lots of fun stuff, but we had to constantly do stuff otherwise the kids would drive each other to some lunatic assylum somewhere in Malmö yikes!

Every child and adult...should once or several times in their lifetime visit Astrid Lingrens world, it is amazing, Walking around the village and meeting all the characters from all her books was phenominal and is worth the long trip to vimmerby.

Here We Go Again

The last couple of months have been extremely intense.
Moving houses: Never in my life had I expected moving to be such a difficult task, more of a nightmare. Packing, un packing, cleaning, scrubbing, broken nails and tempers flaring......  having lived in my apartment for the past 5 years, having been so emotionally attached, nothing had prepared me for this, this.....ughh.. letting it go wasn't easy, the worst part was packing OMG! stuff that I hadn't seen or used or even knew exsisted, for the past five years, suddenly appeared!
and where was i suppose to hide them, I even realised that I had bought certain items twice or thrice, it was time to air my shame, the closet was open and the secrets flowed, in cartloads, raising all eye-brows.
Splash! Splash! And The Hippos' Dance:
My  baby will be making his debute any day now "Splash! Splash! And The Hippos' dance" is a brilliant  childrens' picture book.
SSATHD is a non- stop entertainment, colourfull, geniously illustrated book of 28 pages.   All I can say is that it has taken me the longest time to prepare for this glorious moment YIPPEE!
Teenage baby:My six year old has turned into a monster, my sweet sweet angel. I don't have any idea whats up with her, she cries and sighs then she yells, everything and almost everyone irritates her, me being top on the list. I am definately losing my patience....ohmmmmm.......ohmmmmm........ohmmmmmmmm.
Nice Day.

Vital breath

When it comes to unwinding after a long days work, many opt to head to the pub for a quick fix. Yes it's a quick fix which doesn't last very long, spending time with your mates may be fun and cocktails are fun too, but finding time to give your heart and brain a break is more important.
These 3 steps are  perfect way to unwind, try them each day to reduce stress and tame tension.
Ten to 15 minutes of daily breathing practice by itself may help reduce cardiovascular disease risk by reducing blood pressure, relieving tension and easing the brain.
The following are simple introductory breathing exercise.

1. Lie flat on your back and place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. (you could use a small pillow or a folded towel)
2. Take 10 to 15 slow deep breaths.  Expand your abdomen during inhalation and contract your abdomen during exhalation, keep the chest as still as possible through out the breath.
3. Pause for a couple of seconds between inhalation and exhalation.

Morgon/Morning

What a beautiful morning!
the sun, the birds, the flowers and this beautiful picture melted my heart like butter on hot toast.
Enjoy your latte or whatever it is that makes your monday wow.

Morgon

Karin Boye

Suddenly Sunday

It is Sunday, you can either love it or hate it. It can be lonely or blissfull.
I chose to take it very slow, enjoy my latte and block off the nagging and  chattering  around me and welcome all with a soulfull smile.

Jag älskar dig - jag kan ej säga dig något annat som är mera djupt,
mer enkelt och mera stort!

I am Back! FITNESS TESTING AND EVALUATION

Spring is here finally! I suggest you get off your couch and whip your backside into shape.
Obviously an individual's motivation or readiness for change is an important factor. The most important aspect however is knowing your body.
From here henceforth we will share step by step motivational procedures that keep us going.
As a trainer, I would say that physiccal testing and evaluation is key when stepping into the world of training for the first time or after illness, child-birth and injury.
You may frown all you like, but fitness testing and evaluation equips you, as a beginner, with information related to your current level of physical fitness.  The more knowledge you possess the better position you are in to begin and maintain a safe and effective program and thus achieving great results!
The purpose may be any or all of the following:
1. To assess your fitness levels in relation to age and sex
2. To aid in the development of a safe and effective exercise program
3. To identify areas of health risks and  consulting with an appropriate
health proffessional
4. To establish goals and provide motivation
5. To evaluate progress
Assessment measures the following components
Cardio respiratory efficiency: both at rest and during exercise
Muscular strength an endurance
Flexibility: both joint and muscle
Body composition:fat mass and lean body mass
The level of physical testing depends on the physical demands of an individual's optimal
 lifestyle:
1. Desire to achieve competitive athletic fitness level
2. The ability to confront unforseen emergencies
3. Desire to live a healthy lifestyle that supports ones daily activities.
To evaluate a training program's effectiveness over time a re-assessment should be performed.

snow men

Watch out for snow men

The weather has been pretty mild, but the snow has been rather wild.
Yesterday i spent the whole afternoon, making snow men, throwing snowballs at my friends and  sliding down the hill on a rather funny pull cart.
I must admit it was great fun, good exercise and a lot of laughter, too many awkward crushes, almost like Americas funniest home videos, but funnier.

Don't let the winter snow lower your spirits, get out there and have some fun!

Are you driven

A couple of days ago i posted a question "what inspires you?"

What floats your boat, what keeps you from falling, what keeps you afloat?
My family is certainly my first inspiration, they look up to me believe in me and i guess that is a damn good enough reason to keep from falling.  I get inspiration from; meditation, books, the media, through other peoples life experiences.  When i feel really sorry for myself, i just read the newspaper and that alone is enough kick in the butt, many people are having a far worse time than I am.

My training regime is of course my life jacket, it keeps me afloat on those days when everything seems impossible, running in the cold air simply liberates my soul, i decide on the distance and strive to make it, i cut all the crap and run to my goal, when i am done, tired, sweaty and exhausted i still take pride in the fact that " i did not give up,I did it! I am a super hero!"

Discover the beauty of "SO?"

Every time you find yourself hesitating to do something that might deepen or broaden your life.........the answer to the question is "so?"
So what if you fail or succeed? it has nothing to do with the next person standing beside you in the elevator nor does it have anything to do with your girl/boyfriends or colleagues, its all about you.

that is enough to push you into the spotlight, showing you the way to survive and to be the best you can be.

"So?"

free yourself and act on your best instincts.
dance, sing laugh, dress up or down feel free!
